Michael Rock

Michael has worked with some of the best coaches in the world and has trained with and competed against the best swimmers in the world. Now, Michael wants to share his experience with developing swimmers in the North West.

Biography

 

Michael Rock made his senior international long course debut at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, competing in both the 100m and 200m Butterfly where he reached the semi-final, as well as the helping the 4x100m Medley Relay quartet to sixth.

 

He went on to set the British Records over both 100m and 200m Fly at the 2009 World Championships Final in Rome, before winning silver in the 200m Butterfly at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

 

In 2012, Rock qualified to compete in the 100m Butterfly at the London Olympics, and was once again part of the Men’s 4x100 Medley Relay team who finished fourth in the Olympic Final.

By winning his sixth consecutive British 100m Butterfly title in 2013, Rock qualified for his third World Championships, qualifying for the semi-finals before retiring in January 2014.
